Coach Stephen Keshi’s outcry to the Nigerian Football Federation for the nonpayment of his salary for seven months might have yielded results as the Chairman of the NFF Finance Committee Hon. Shehu Adamu has assured that an understanding has been reached with the Coach to settle his outstanding salary.
The NFF committee Chairman, Adamu revealed that the issues between the Glass-house and Stephen Keshi have been resolved on how to pay his outstanding salaries.
The Chairman stated: “We have had a very good understanding with the Coach of the Super Eagles, Stephen Keshi, and very soon, everything will be of the past but we really want to appreciate his concerns and as good Nigerians, we are going to make sure that everything is resolved.”
In a media statement last week, Stephen Keshi had pleaded with the Glass-house to pay him up, indicating that he has been owed seven months’ salary, worth a total of N35m. The Glass-house in defence blamed poor financial situation for not being able to carry out its contractual obligations.
