NFF Introduces Monthly Football Awards

The Nigeria Football Federation has launched a new initiative: the Monthly Football Awards.

This program aims to celebrate the exceptional performances of Nigerian football players across various leagues, including the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

According to the NFF, the Monthly Awards seek to honor the skill, commitment, and passion that Nigerian footballers bring to the sport, recognizing those who have made a significant impact on the field.
Award Categories: Player of the Month (Male & Female), Goal of the Month and Discovery of the Month.
Nomination Process: The nomination process will be conducted scientifically to ensure fairness and accuracy. An independent organization will gather and analyze player statistics throughout the month, highlighting the top performances.
This objective, data-driven approach guarantees that the nominations reflect the best players based on their contributions to their teams. The first round of nominations will be announced on October 3, 2024. Following this, voting will open to fans and journalists, making it an inclusive and engaging event for the Nigerian football community.
Voting Process: Fans and journalists can vote for their favorite players through the official NFF voting portal at www.thenff.com.
Voting will be open for one week after the nominations are announced. Fan votes will account for 40% of the final decision, allowing supporters to have a direct impact on the outcome of these prestigious awards. The remaining 60% will be determined by journalists and industry professionals, ensuring a balanced selection process.
The nominations will be announced on October 3, 2024, with voting taking place from October 3 until midnight on October 7, 2024.
