Suspected gunmen on Sunday evening invaded Gwana community in Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi State, forcing residents to flee for safety.
The attackers reportedly stormed the village at about 5:30 p.m., causing panic and chaos as they shot sporadically and chased people out of their homes.
As of the time of filing this report, the exact number of casualties remains unclear.
While some residents were said to have escaped into nearby bushes, others were reportedly killed during the attack.
However, authorities are yet to confirm the number of those who lost their lives.
The incident occurred amid the ongoing Ramadan fast, leaving the community in shock and uncertainty.
