NEWS FLASH: 50 Pupils Escape After Mass Abduction at Niger School

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Niger State chapter, says 50 of the 315 students abducted on Friday from St. Mary’s Catholic School, Papiri, have escaped and reunited with their families.
According to CAN’s state chairman’s media aide, Daniel Atori, the pupils fled between Friday and Saturday. After verifying with parents, CAN confirmed that 251 primary pupils, 14 secondary students, and 12 teachers remain in captivity.
