Newlywed wife stabs husband to death in Niger

A tragic incident unfolded in Nasarawa village, located in the Lapai Local Government Area of Niger State, where Aisha Aliyu, a 20-year-old newlywed, allegedly killed her husband, Idris Ahmadu, in the early hours of Monday, February 12, 2024.

It is reported that Aisha and Idris had recently gotten married on December 31, 2023. Earlier that evening, the couple had a disagreement, but they managed to resolve it before going to bed.

However, around midnight, the mother of the deceased heard Idris screaming. Hurrying to the scene, she found him lying in a pool of blood. He had tried to escape from the room but collapsed at the doorstep.

According to sources, Aisha had allegedly stabbed him in the chest, leading to his demise.

Reports suggest that the couple had been in a relationship for several years before getting married.

Although there were initial hesitations from Aisha about the marriage, they eventually reconciled their differences.

Sadly, it appears that Aisha had hidden intentions. She later confessed that she had another suitor in mind, which came as a shock to many.

This tragic incident has left the community in disbelief and mourning as they grapple with the loss of a young life and the unexpected turn of events in the marriage of Aisha and Idris.
