Senator Ned Nwoko has responded to reports that his estranged wife, actress Regina Daniels, made a surprise visit to his residence, ending months of public speculation about the state of their marriage.
On Sunday, September 6, 2026, Nwoko posted an Instagram video showing his sons with Regina Daniels, Munir and Khalifa, at a swimming pool. He did not address the reconciliation reports directly. Instead, he used the caption to speak about the importance of the activity.
“Swimming is non-negotiable for the kids,” Nwoko wrote. “It’s a life skill every child should have.”
The post drew over 13,000 likes and nearly 1,000 comments within a day. Many Nigerians who had criticized Nwoko during the couple’s public fallout in 2025 used the comment section to apologize, saying they had judged him without knowing the full story.
The reports followed the emergence of footage of Daniels at Nwoko’s home last week. Regina Daniels’ sister, Destiny Daniels, has since clarified that the visit was to see her children and was not a sign of reconciliation.
Regina’s brother, singer Sammy West, also addressed the speculation in a video posted on Saturday, September 5, 2026, alongside content creator Amos. Sammy West, who was arrested in 2025 during the height of his sister’s marital dispute, said people were drawing conclusions without facts.

She suggested that a mother’s love for her children, rather than the marriage itself, could explain the visit.

Social commentator VDM, also known as Martins Vincent Otse, weighed in on the same day. Responding to Destiny Daniels’ clarification, he praised Ned Nwoko for how he had handled the crisis publicly, saying the senator avoided dragging Daniels and instead raised concerns about her wellbeing.
“There was nothing that man did not provide for that girl,” VDM said, listing clothing, travel and accommodation among the things he believed Nwoko gave her.

He also criticized Regina Daniels’ brothers and mother, accusing them of contributing to the breakdown of the marriage, though he acknowledged that her allegations of abuse could not be entirely dismissed. He advised Nwoko to help Daniels reconnect with her father and avoid completely cutting her off from her relatives.
As of now, no reconciliation has been confirmed by either Regina Daniels or Ned Nwoko. Destiny Daniels’ explanation that the visit was solely about the children remains the only official account.
