NDLEA nabs woman who allegedly supplies ammunition to bandits

Personnel of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has apprehended a woman for allegedly supplying ammunition to terrorists in Borno state.

 

Spokesman for the anti-narcotics agency, Femi Babafemi, who revealed this in a statement to journalists stated that Bilkisu Suleman, 28, was arrested by NDLEA operatives who were on New Year operations.

 

“A 28-year-old female supplier of ammunition to bandits, Bilkisu Suleman, came top on the list of 12 other suspects arrested by the NDLEA operatives in the New Year interdiction operations in Kaduna, Lagos, Niger, Kogi, Kano, Borno, and Osun states”.

 

Babafemi disclosed that Bilkisu was arrested on Wednesday, January 3 2024 by their men who were on patrol along the Zaria–Kano Expressway. He said that the 28 year old was found with 249 rounds of 7.62 mm live ammunition concealed in a black nylon bag kept in her lady’s handbag.

 

According to reports, the suspect was on her way to deliver the ammunition to a famous bandit in Kakumi village, Katsina State when operatives of the NDLEA apprehended her after which she was transferred to the Kaduna State Command of the Nigeria Police Force for further actions.
