Nasarawa Police Nab Four for Robbing Students, Seize 35 Phones, Laptops and Cash

The Nasarawa State Police Command has made significant strides in combating crime with the recent arrest of four armed robbery suspects accused of targeting students in the area.
According to a statement by the command’s spokesperson, DSP Ramhan Nansel, on Monday, the suspects allegedly carried out a series of attacks on student lodges and a hostel in the Gunki area of Nasarawa.
During these incidents, two students from the Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa, were reportedly injured, and numerous items, including cell phones and laptops, were stolen.
The swift response from the Nasarawa Division, led by CSP Mohammed Padah, following a distress call, led to the apprehension of the suspects on Sunday, May 26.
Police operatives managed to arrest Usman Abdullahi, Abdullahi Mohammed, Ibrahim Musa, and Fa’ad Idris, all of whom were allegedly involved in the robberies.
A variety of items believed to be stolen were recovered from the suspects, including knives, smartphones, laptops, cash, and other electronic devices.
“One blood stained Knife, one jack Knife, scissors, 8 Apple iPhones, 27 Assorted Android phones of different brands, 2 Laptops, 5 torch lights, 2 MP3 music players, 4 bags, 6 power banks and a cash sum of Two hundred and ninety-eight thousand Naira (N298,000) were recovered from the suspects as exhibits.â€
The Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Shehu Nadada, praised the efforts of the Divisional Police officer and his team for their bravery and professionalism in apprehending the suspects.
CP Nadada assured the public that the police force is committed to ensuring the safety and security of residents in Nasarawa State.
 He urged the officers to maintain their vigilance and dedication to duty in order to combat crime effectively.
