A muckle of young virgins in Rivers State went almost bare to observe the popularly Iria ceremony in Ogu town in Ogu-Bolo Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The Iria ceremony of the Wakirike people in Rivers State is an age long event observed to officially transit young virgins into womanhood.
The ceremony which took place on Saturday, December 2, 2023, had in attendance young women who trooped out to be initiated into the state of womanhood by elders of the community amidst joyful cheers by a crowd of spectators.
