The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has granted an automatic Hajj slot for the next year’s pilgrimage to Alhaji Mikail Mumuni, the Editor of Hajj Panorama and Publisher of The Shield Online.Â
This prestigious announcement was made on Wednesday in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, during the post-Arafat stakeholders meeting convened by NAHCON.
The decision to award Alhaji Mumuni this special slot came as a result of a detailed report presented by NAHCON’s Head of National Media Team, Mousa Ubandawaki.
Ubandawaki, who serves as the Director of Information and Publications for NAHCON, highlighted the exceptional performance of Alhaji Mumuni and his media organizations in their comprehensive and dedicated coverage of the Commission’s activities during the 2024 Hajj exercise.
Ubandawaki emphasized that while all members of the National Media Team (NMT) had performed commendably, the efforts of Alhaji Mumuni, along with two other colleagues, stood out as particularly exemplary.
Their commitment to delivering high-quality journalism and thorough reporting played a crucial role in informing the public and documenting the Hajj activities effectively.
