NAF officer caught supplying camouflage to Zamfara bandit Turji

The Police High Command shared on Tuesday how they caught a former officer from the Nigerian Air Force who was giving military clothes and gear to criminals in Zamfara State.

This ex-officer, Ahmed Mohammed, worked at the Air Force Base in Kaduna for only five years before the military punished him for something they haven’t told about yet.

The police spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi, who is an Assistant Commissioner of Police, also said that the dismissed officer started selling military clothes and gear to Mushiri Abubakar.

Abubakar then gave these things to various criminal groups. They even gave military clothes to a well-known bandit named Bello Turji and his gang who have been causing trouble in the state.

When the police caught Mohammed and Abubakar, they found a bunch of military clothes and gear with them.

This included 10 sets of military uniforms, 10 camel packs, 2 military hats, 3 cardigans, 3 T-shirts, 2 belts, and 3 anklets.

The police stopped them while they were taking these items from Kaduna to Zamfara for the bandits.

In recent times, Zamfara and Kaduna states have become places where bandits often operate, kidnapping people.

The police want to stop these criminals, especially those who supply them with weapons.

The police spokesperson said that if the bandits don’t have guns and ammo, they can’t do much harm. So, the police are first going after those who give them weapons.

The police are determined to break up the criminal groups, especially those who provide guns and bullets to bandits.

They believe that by stopping the supply of weapons, they can make the bandits less powerful and protect innocent people from harm.
