The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) on Monday unveiled its new digital certificate platform, designed to simplify processes for stakeholders.Â
Prof. Ifeoma Isiugo-Abanihe, NABTEB’s Registrar/Chief Executive Officer, made the unveiling at its national headquarters in Ikpoba Hill, Benin.
She highlighted the importance of this launch, saying it is a major enhancement in the board’s service offerings to Nigerians.
The platform, known as NABTEB Digital Certificate Platform (NDCAP), aims to address long-standing issues with certificate processing.
Candidates around the globe can now access their certificates online via the NDCAP, streamlining the process for both verification by employers and educational institutions, and providing easy access to certificates.
Isiugo-Abanihe pointed out that the digital platform supports online requests, payments, and certificate generation, which will help eliminate the backlog of outstanding certificates.
She also assured that hard copies of certificates will continue to be available promptly.
“Employers of labour, and tertiary education institutions now have easy access to verify the authenticity of certificates presented by their employees or applicants. This idea to develop a digital certificate platform, which was birthed under my leadership, will, by the grace of God, make life much easier to all concerned stakeholders of NABTEB in Nigeria and the Diaspora”, she said.
