“My Relationship of 20 Years is Slipping off My Hands”- AY Finally Opens Up After Marriage Crash

In a candid social media post, the renowned comedian, actor, and filmmaker Ayo Makun, better known as AY, shed light on the rumored rift between himself and his wife, Mabel Makun.

Speculations swirled that Mabel had vacated their shared home due to AY’s alleged infidelity, reportedly leading to health complications for her. Addressing these reports, AY took to Instagram on Sunday, April 7, 2024, to address the situation.

Acknowledging the rumors, AY confessed to engaging in regrettable behavior but urged against equating silence with weakness. He emphasized the importance of distinguishing between opinions, values, beliefs, and facts.

AY stressed his reluctance to air personal family matters publicly, especially with a grown-up daughter who has access to social media, highlighting the need to protect her mental well-being.

Expressing the complexities of his 20-year friendship and marriage, AY underscored the challenge of allocating blame in a societal framework where women often assume the victim role. He emphasized that nobody is entirely blameless in such situations.

Despite the proliferation of falsehoods in online platforms, AY remained steadfast in his commitment to truth, confident that his genuine narrative would eventually prevail over the pervasive fabrications.

His post reads

“Many people believe that staying silent simply means that one is incapable of dealing with issues. Projecting a negative narrative against someone who is not struggling to defend himself doesn’t mean he is weak.

“Some of us are just logical enough to understand the difference between opinions, values, beliefs, and facts.

“The personality and ability that I possess simply confirm that i have reached that stage in my life where I can not be entertaining the public with deep personal family issues. They just might be too much to handle concerning the individuals involved.

“Not even when I have a grown-up daughter who has access to social media. Her mental health needs to be protected from seeing things she can not be proud of online.”

They have been married for over two decades and have been blessed with two kids.
