Mr Eazi says he will keep posting on TikTok after an investor and mentor told him his videos could hurt his image.
The Nigerian Afrobeats artist described the exchange in a segment of the Big Convo Live interview. A clip of it circulated on X on 28 October 2026.

Mr Eazi said he met the investor over a meal. The mentor told him that his child had shown him a TikTok video of the singer, and that the video gave a wrong impression of who he is. The mentor asked him to think about the image he presents to the public.
However, Mr Eazi answered with a question about their business. “We do business together, right? We do big business?” he said. He then asked if the mentor would stop working with him because of the video. The mentor said the business would continue.
Mr Eazi then explained his position. “I’m not you. I’m Mr Eazi,” he said. He added that nobody else wears silver hair and a puff-puff, stays on TikTok, and still walks into a boardroom. He said he is grateful for the advice but does not accept it.

Mr Eazi runs businesses beyond music. He is the founder of emPawa Africa, a music accelerator that supports new African artists. He is also a partner at Zagadat Capital, a venture firm that invests in African tech startups.
He revealed earlier this year that they hired nine doctors in different countries to monitor the pregnancy of his wife, Temi Otedola. He said their frequent international travel made it hard to know where she would give birth.
