Singer Mr. Eazi, whose real name is Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, and his wife, Temi Otedola, have explained why nine doctors in different countries were involved in monitoring her pregnancy.
The couple discussed the matter during a podcast appearance and in a video shared online on Wednesday, June 24. They said the arrangement was made because they had not decided in which country the baby would be born.
“Why exactly do we see nine doctors? Nine doctors, to give you options, not just that, because we didn’t know where we were going to be. Which country? We didn’t know which country we would decide on. I wanted Japan,” Mr. Eazi said.
He added that he had researched Japanese names for the child. Temi responded to this on the podcast, saying, “By the way, he’s also been looking at Japanese names, and I’m like, no, absolutely not.”
The nine doctors allowed the couple to receive consistent medical care regardless of which country they were in during the pregnancy.
The couple announced in May 2026 that they were expecting their first child. They said the pregnancy was discovered during their honeymoon in Asia. Mr. Eazi and Temi Otedola married in a private ceremony in Iceland in August 2025.
Temi Otedola also said that an AI-generated image made it appear as though she was expecting twins. She said this led her to address the pregnancy publicly earlier than planned, since she had not yet told people she was pregnant.
The story has drawn a wide range of reactions on social media, with many commenting on the cost of coordinating nine doctors across multiple countries.
