According to reports, a 32-year-old housewife, identified as Mrs Maimuna Aliyu, slipped and died while fetching rain water at Bako village in the Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Thursday, June 6.

Confirming the unfortunate incident, a neighbour who simply identified himself as Usman revealed that the incident occurred about 8:12 am.

Usman said that while it rained heavily, the mother of four carried a basin to fetch water but missed her step and slipped.

He stated that the woman’s husband had left for farm alongside two of her children when the incident happened.

Usman added that the woman was unconscious when she was rushed to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately, she was later confirmed dead by a medical doctor.
