Report has it that a Benue woman identified as Mrs Maria Agbo, who was murdered by kidnappers alongside her daughter in Abuja, has been laid to rest in her home town Owukpa, Benue State on Thursday, February 8, 2024.
It was gathered that Maria who had gone to Abuja to take care of her daughter, Christiana, who had just given birth after ten years of childlessness.
The sad incident occurred when kidnappers invaded their home near the Mopol Barracks, in the Dei-Dei area of FCT and abducted Maria, her daughter and the newborn baby.
The abductors demanded N90m ransom from the family as a condition to secure the release of the victims. After negotiation, they agreed for N10 million
Sadly, days later, the family received the heartbreaking news that Christiana and her mother had been killed, and the newborn baby abandoned in a health facility.
