The National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Felix Morka, has pushed back against criticism of the party’s 2027 presidential campaign flag-off in Kaduna State, following ARISE News anchor Rufai Oseni’s scathing assessment of President Bola Tinubu’s speech at the rally.
Oseni had described Tinubu’s address as one of the worst campaign speeches he had heard, questioning the president’s preparation and faulting his campaign team for failing to provide a clear and coherent message.
Reacting to criticism of the rally in an interview on ArisNews monitored by The News Chronicle, Morka dismissed the negative assessments, insisting that Nigerians who watched the event could make their own judgments.
“Nigerians watch the flag off and know what happened,” Morka said.
The APC spokesman’s response comes amid growing scrutiny of Tinubu’s campaign messaging following the party’s flag-off in Kaduna on October 24, ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Oseni had argued that the president’s speech lacked structure and failed to adequately explain or defend his administration’s record after nearly four years in office.
