The socialite Sam Larry and well-known musician Naira Marley were reportedly given bail after being held for weeks on suspicion of being involved in Mohbad’s killing.
According to online reports, the two must each provide three sureties and twenty million naira to complete their bail requirements.
As an extra condition of their bail, the court mandated that they surrender their foreign passports and appear in person at the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) each week.
In addition, the magistrate overseeing the case issued a strong warning, making it clear that any effort to contact her would be recorded and possibly even made public during court proceedings.
As you may remember, Naira Marely and Sam Larry were detained upon their return to the nation after being connected to the demise of the late singer Mohbad.
Further rumors about Sam Larry’s possible role in the death were sparked by a video that appeared to show him attempting to attack Mohbad while he was on set.
