Nollywood actress Mo Bimpe, known offscreen as Bimpe Adedimeji, has spoken about a painful period in her life when she was quietly excluded from children’s celebrations because she had no child of her own.
The actress shared the account on Instagram on Monday, August 31, 2026, shortly after attending the first birthday party of baby Rakeem, son of Priscilla Ojo and Juma Jux. Rakeem is also the grandson of actress Iyabo Ojo.
In her post, Mo Bimpe wrote that returning home from the party stirred memories she had carried quietly for years. She said she once noticed she was no longer invited to baby showers, naming ceremonies, or children’s birthdays, even by people she knew personally.
“There was a time when I wasn’t invited to baby showers, naming ceremonies, children’s birthdays, or anything related to kids,” she wrote. “Sometimes, these were people I knew personally. People I laughed with, worked with, and genuinely cared about.”
She said she later learned the omissions were deliberate. “Later, I found out that some people intentionally left me out because I didn’t have children,” she wrote. “At the time, it hurt deeply. Not because I wanted pity, but because I loved children. I wanted to celebrate with people.”
Mo Bimpe described the exclusion as an added weight on an already difficult experience. “Struggling to conceive is already hard enough,” she wrote. “The waiting is hard. The questions are hard. The insults are hard. The silent prayers are hard. Please don’t make it harder by excluding people.”
Mo Bimpe, now a mother of triplets, drew on her own experience to encourage women still on their fertility journey. “There was a time I had no child,” she wrote. “Today, I am a mother of triplets. The same God who remembered me has not forgotten you.”
She added a line that has since been widely quoted by fans: “What feels delayed is not denied.”
In response to the post, many fans said they related directly to her experience.
One fan wrote that she was still in the same situation and often left off invitations. Another said she had used Mo Bimpe’s earlier pregnancy announcement as a point of prayer and later conceived the following month. A third follower said she had recently been excluded from a close friend’s child’s birthday party despite having previously been involved in the planning.
Mo Bimpe and her husband, actor Lateef Adedimeji, married in 2021. The couple welcomed triplets after years of anticipation from fans who followed their public journey.
