Ministry of Agriculture Donates over 200 trailers of Foodstuffs and Water Pumps to  Maiduguri Flood Victims

In response to the devastating floods that have recently ravaged Maiduguri, claiming lives and destroying property, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has extended a generous hand of support to the victims.

The Honourable Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari, announced that the Ministry is donating two hundred trailers filled with foodstuffs and two thousand water pumps to aid the affected residents, on Saturday.

The floods, which have caused significant loss of life and widespread damage to homes and infrastructure, have left many in Maiduguri struggling to recover.

In light of this, the federal government, through the Ministry of Agriculture, aims to provide relief to the affected communities.

The donation of foodstuffs will help address the immediate hunger crisis faced by the victims, while the water pumps will assist in draining flooded areas, thus speeding up recovery efforts.

Senator Abubakar Kyari emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting disaster-stricken areas and expressed solidarity with the people of Maiduguri.

He noted that this contribution is part of broader efforts to mitigate the impact of the disaster and help restore normalcy in the region.
