Military forces eliminate Bandit and confiscate weapons in Kaduna

The 1 Division of the Nigerian Army has reported a successful mission in Sabon Birni, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State. On December 17, the troops carried out an ambush, resulting in the neutralization of a bandit.

Lieutenant Colonel Musa Yahaya, the Division’s Acting Deputy Director of Public Relations, conveyed this information, mentioning that the recovered items included an AK-47 rifle with a magazine loaded with 15 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, a baofeng radio, and two Tecno phones.

In a separate operation along Dende-Buruku Road in Chikun Local Government Area on December 15, the troops engaged bandits in a sting operation.

During this encounter, multiple bandits managed to escape with gunshot wounds, but the troops successfully seized an AK-47 rifle along with a magazine loaded with four rounds of 7.62mm ammunition.

Major General Valentine Okoro, the General Officer Commanding the Division and the Force Commander of Operation WHIRL, commended the troops for their resilience in these operations.

He encouraged them to persist in denying freedom to bandits, terrorists, and other criminal elements, preventing them from carrying out their malicious activities.
