Mike Bamiloye, the founder of Mount Zion Faith Ministries, has supported Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God after his apology about his previous teachings on tithing.
Bamiloye acknowledged that it wasn’t easy for someone like Adeboye to publicly apologize for his past preaching on the topic.
Pastor Adeboye recently admitted that he made a mistake when he once said that those who don’t pay tithes won’t make it to heaven. He clarified that this statement is not in the Bible, and emphasized that living peacefully and being holy are the real requirements for getting to heaven.
In response, Bamiloye made a statement where he said: “Pastor Adeboye corrected his earlier statement after God spoke to him. It’s not easy for someone with such global influence to admit a mistake, but he did so because God instructed him.”
He added, “Some people might mock him or criticize him, but Pastor Adeboye is focused on heaven, not earthly praise. It takes great humility for someone like him to make this kind of public apology, and only God could have inspired him to do it.”
Bamiloye concluded by quoting the Bible: “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble (James 4:6).”
