Microsoft Hires Ex OpenAI Boss, Sam Altman

Tech Giant Microsoft has hired former CEO of OpenAI, Sam Altman and Greg Brockman, OpenAI’s president.
Recall that during the weekend, Sam was sacked over what the company described as lack of consistent candor in communications with the board.
Before now, Altman had been embroiled in a controversy over an alleged incest he committed with his cousin who called him out on social media.
Greg Brockman, a co-founder like Altman, also stepped down as chairman but remained OpenAI’s president.
Surprisingly, after Altman left, lots of others at OpenAI went with him, including Greg Brockman.
They all joined Microsoft.
Some smart people like Szymon Sidor, Jakub Pachocki, and Aleksander Madry also joined Microsoft.
Twitch co-founder Emmett Shear is now the new head of the AI company.
Even with all this drama, Microsoft says they’re sticking with OpenAI because they have spent over $10 billion on OpenAI and own almost half of it.
They want to keep helping OpenAI grow and work together.
Microsoft did not expect OpenAI’s board to act so suddenly.
But their boss, Satya Nadella, made sure Altman and Brockman found a new home at Microsoft fast, even before the markets opened.
Altman was a big face for OpenAI, making it a huge player in the world of super-smart computers.
OpenAI is like a launching pad for many startups using its tech.
There was a lot of drama when everyone tried to fix things at OpenAI.
But they could not, and Altman got sacked.
