Throughout his sojourn on planet earth, he remains committed to the ideals of humanitarian service devoid of sentiments. He respects those who deserve his respect and keeps a distance from those who fancy and foment troubles laced with hate speeches.
He is disciplined to the core unlike a typical partisan Nigerian politician, and cherishes both the traditional and religious institutions. The elites are his best of friends while those confined to the bottom pit of economic hell begging for crumbs are his target for support to regain direction and unchained from the grip of scotching poverty and malnutrition.
It was in 2015, he was dragged out of his comfort zone to the political scene for a rescue mission by those that rate his leadership quality high and magnanimous.
Although he belongs to All Progressives Congress (APC) which is the strongest opposition party in Bauchi State today, but he is loved across party divides. His mere presence on the political turf is rattling opposition feathers within Bauchi State political scene sending opponents to run amok.
Muhammed Garba Gololo a.k.a MGG, despite all challenges against his rising political profile, may eventually emerge as APC consensus deputy governorship candidate for the 2027 battle which seems to be causing sleepless nights to those in opposition with an erroneous rating of their political capacity and deceived to believing falsehood of being the Alphas and Omegas of the polity, who can decide the direction where the pendulum should swing.
That may be so in where they hold fort as the leading lights of their ignorant and confused followers left to scramble for stomach infrastructure and crumbs.
To those in doubt of the political capacity and dexterity of MGG, blends of distinct chords make up life’s orchestra. Each chord comes with its own note and significance, but their essential mix gives a kind of musical harmony that lifts the human spirit that is enough to send shivers to desperate and drowning opponents.
In life’s amazing symphony, the story of MGG, by his sweet chords and actions, gives meaning that is both mythical and sublime. His streak in contemporary Bauchi State and Nigeria are no less profound by whatever definition, and often likened to different interpretations of an elephant by the six Hindustan blind men which show how limited human faculties can be when describing enigmas that defy rationality. This is why he has been typecast aptly as the “The Detribalized Emancipator” who has not lost touch with home for liberation of the downtrodden from lingering underdevelopment, poverty and insecurity.
Essentially, he is both an enigma and a role model for aspiring development enthusiasts, the focused youths, determined politicians, and progressing businessmen and women.
In the public sphere, not limited to Nigeria alone, perception plays a crucial role in the way we react to issues or do things on daily basis. The image we portray either of ourselves or environment is therefore very important to the response we get from others within social contexts. In other words, it is imperative to portray oneself in certain light for others to take one’s actions seriously. This is what is referred to as branding in corporate political cycles.
One man who by his dance of fate and training understands the underpinning principle of being in public glare selflessly and who premises his actions towards the ideals of effective leadership and good governance is MGG, a Boardroom manager and onetime House of Representatives member that represented Gamawa Federal Constituency; the Voice of the Voiceless, the Pillar of the Weak and the Champion of Equity and Justice that is warming-up for robust governance through deployment of wisdom and intellect on a fast lane to a Greater Bauchi State bonded by unity and love.
His rise to prominence is not by sudden flight. He has really crossed the Rubicon: as a public administrator born to a humble family, he held several public responsibilities within his professional calling and now into politics on purely a rescue mission. The man is simply a technocrat in leadership and determined to do the needful as his contribution to the development aspirations of Bauchi State in a bigger capacity.
In his calling, he has now made unquenchable history by throwing a challenge to those in opposition, some of who must have institutionalized underdevelopment and hero worshipping brought to the doorsteps of the people as a fashion and model to access what rightly belongs to them.
When anyone with patriotic instinct makes bold to confront the mess, it becomes a case which his opponents use to recklessness and hooliganism consider as “dead on arrival” through the usual known tricks of pedestrian challenges including deploying hitherto abandoned children from the bread lines to display their trade of unruly behavior, primitiveness, village character and unrefined insults.
But MGG, armed with his resilience and determination, is steadily changing the narrative, and today, Bauchi State is heading to being a safe haven for educational, infrastructural, and agricultural investments, tourism, and leisure that need sustainability.
So intrinsic are MGG’s offerings. More like well-tuned harps, or the nice pitch of violins in listening ears, his strides call people’s attention to the hope they inspire in collective psyche. His caper over Bauchi State’s sphere has left enduring cadences. The very reason he may aspire for election in 2027, summation of which has been variously described as expected ‘quality governance like never before’.
The desire to be an outstanding breed, quite distinct from others, inspires his super-curiosity and love for new challenges. This undergirds his stance to always give back to the society where his roots are traceable. The desire to contribute his quota to the development of the state has since become enduring covenant between him, the people and the Almighty God.
In his solidarity message to the people in 2023 MGG averred “2023 is particularly an exciting year for our determined effort to regain our standing in the forefront of development and remain steadfast. We are steadily moving forward with confidence in our abilities to achieve further greatness within the political space”. What an inspiring note in a leadership need of Bauchi State!
Muhammed Garba Gololo is a selfless new breed politician who doesn’t only take stock of the needs of the populace but also find means of putting smiles on their faces with uttermost satisfaction and praises to Allah (SWT) without expecting praises from beneficiaries.
Ever since, he was widely acknowledged by those that know his style as, a steady contributor to the socio-economic and political development of not only Gamawa federal constituency, and Bauchi State and struggling to find a convenient space for the state on the political map of Nigeria in such an unprecedented manner never experienced before. This is why the people are rising in larger numbers to endorse his candidature everywhere his name is mentioned with interest, and such interaction affords the people an opportunity to shower praises on their illustrious son coming on a rescue mission.
In most of the communities visited, the people trooped out with excitement, prayers and express their unalloyed support to have him as their deputy governor in 2027 now that he has been adjudged an icon and a General Officer Commanding Bauchi State Political Permutation.
His actions and deeds in public and private sectors and practical unbroken connection to his root clearly describes his quality of leadership never witnessed before and little wonder even people from other climes yearn for his candidature to Government House in 2027.
As for his style of politicking, he believes in the principles of Politics without Bitterness. He severally said: “I believe in unity in diversity. I believe we are all brothers and sisters in a struggle for the good of our people. I will not surface at the political scene to disunite the people and support unruly behaviors. Those we want to take over from are our brothers and sisters who have given their contribution in their own way to the development of our state within their capacity. We should behave ourselves, respect others and play clean politics based on issues of value to our ultimate development”.
To those his supporters traversing the length and breadth of the state interacting and interfacing with people of substance, decorum and caution is always applied to educate the people on the desirability of the mandatory awareness campaign on why Bauchi State needs to be rescued by MGG along with M.A Abubakar. Why are some parts of Bauchi State, since the advent of the Fourth Republic in 1999, still wearing the looks of glorified villages too rural and too underdeveloped, lacking road networks, functional health facilities, and other visible infrastructure, economic sustainability, and a flourishing security network?
A strong, reliable, and pillar in the APC Project, Bello Pate had counseled that: “Those who messed up our polity and put our state in ruins over the years cannot suddenly start parading themselves as having the solution to the rot holding the state hostage
“Those who pillaged the state, their sidekicks, their bankers, business fronts, partners in syndicate and enablers cannot be gathering together again grandstanding as pathfinders of continuity
“Those failed politicians and their allies cannot midwife the birth of a new Bauchi State and those who messed up the system and pushed state into the hole cannot now come out and represent themselves as the light to get us out of the dark tunnel they consciously pushed us into
“Only those with proven integrity, patriotism, with clarity of vision and courage should be allowed to govern the state in 2027, unless if the people are blind to allow the state become irreversibly ruined beyond redemption by the toddlers and merchants in the race
“We have vowed to rescue the state from the grip of greed, clueless and inept opposition parties spiced with insincerity, parochial lies and deceit”.
On a final note, those in the APC should shower praises on those aspirants that honorably and patriotically endorsed the candidature of Muhammed Abdullahi Abubakar SAN as the candidate for the 2027 contest despite their eligibility and competence. They have saved the party from unnecessary brinkmanship and intrusion by the infiltration of drowning opposition. They deserve commendation and support to realize their full potential in the political chess game. They are the most adorned Patriots of our political time!
