Messaging Between Facebook And Instagram To Stop Soon

Meta Stops Cross- Messaging Between Facebook And Instagram
Tech Giant Meta has updated its support pages to mention that soon, users won’t be able to send messages from Instagram to their Facebook contacts anymore.
This change will happen around mid-December, although the exact date has not been specified.
The company explained that while existing chats on Instagram will still be visible, users won’t be able to start new conversations that connect both Instagram and Facebook.
Back in 2020, Meta introduced the ability to message across these platforms.
Now, three years later, they’re removing this feature without much attention.
Meta hasn’t given a clear reason for this change, but there is a European Union rule requiring major messaging apps to work together.
Meta is also working on making WhatsApp compatible with other apps and enhancing privacy protection on Messenger and Instagram.
Additionally, they have agreed to give users more control over their activities across their various platforms following instructions from a German antitrust body in June.
