Maureen Esisi claims that she and Nollywood actor Blossom Chukwujekwu are “technically” still married, even though their marriage ended in 2019.
She explained that they are not officially divorced because she hasn’t signed any legal documents.
Speaking on a recent episode of ‘The House Chronicles’ podcast, Esisi accused her ex-in-laws of encouraging their separation, despite previously advising her not to leave the marriage.
She said, “I would call his mom, and she would give me reasons why we couldn’t divorce, saying it wasn’t God’s will and that things would improve. Then suddenly, Blossom said he was done, and the same family that told me to stay changed their stance.”
Esisi emphasized that although their separation happened before it became public, they are not legally divorced. “When you say you’re divorced, it means you’ve signed papers, right?” she added.
Blossom remarried in 2022 three years after their separation to pastor Ehinome.
