Manchester United has completed the signing of Moroccan international Noussair Mazraoui from FC Bayern, according to renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The deal, worth €15 million plus €5 million in add-ons, marks a significant coup for Erik ten Hag’s side.
Mazraoui’s arrival is strategically timed, following the departure of Aaron Wan-Bissaka to West Ham. The 25-year-old will join Manchester United on a five-year contract, with an option for an additional year, negotiated by his agent Pimenta.
Ten Hag’s familiarity with Mazraoui, having worked together at Ajax, was a key factor in the signing. Mazraoui’s versatility, capable of playing as a right-back and left-back, will provide valuable depth to United’s defense.
The transfer documents are being prepared, and Mazraoui is expected to join the team next week. This signing demonstrates Manchester United’s intent to strengthen their squad and bolster their chances for success in the upcoming season.
With Mazraoui’s addition, Ten Hag aims to revitalize United’s defense, and the Moroccan’s experience playing under the Dutch manager at Ajax will facilitate a seamless integration into the team.
