Manchester United defeats Liverpool to reach FA Cup semi-final 

In the tough encounter, Manchester United defeated Liverpool by 4-3 to advance to the semi final of the FA following a 120 minutes action of play. They will meet Chelsea who defeated Leicester city in a dramatic show in the next round. 

First half: It took the home side 10 minutes to register the first goal of the tie, following MC Tominey’s brilliance. Mac Allister returned Liverpool to the game, scoring just a minute to end the first 45 minutes. In the extra minutes of four, Mohamed Salah gave Liverpool a decisive first-half lead of 2-1. Furthermore, Liverpool led in ball possession by 60% against the 40% Manchester United managed in the first half.

Second Half: At 82nd minutes, Liverpool retained possession higher than they had in the first half—it’s 69% ball possession against 31% home side accumulated. It was not the end, as Anthony leveled for United in the 87th minute. The game extended to extra minutes after a 2-2 full-time.

In the first half of the 30 minutes of extra time, Elliott set Liverpool for the lead of 2-3 in the 105-minute. Rashford leveled up for Manchester United in the second half of the 30 minutes of extra time. It’s 3-3 in the stringent tie. Manchester United left it late to win the game.
