According to reports, a married couple and their 3-months-old baby have lost their lives in a fire outbreak in Jega Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
It was learnt that the man, named Musibau Abubakar, his wife and daughter lost their lives when fire engulfed their house on Wednesday night, February 7, 2024.
It was gathered that the Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris has donated N10m to deceased family and N50m to traders whose shops were also razed down by the inferno in Jega last month.
The governor gave the donation while on a condolence visit to the family residence of the deceased as well as the scene of market inferno, on Thursday, February 8.
Idris who stated that N50m is for those whose shops were burnt down on 16th January 2024, while N10m is for the family that lost their lives equally prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased shortcomings and grant them Jannatul Firdaus.
The Kebbi state governor described the incident as an act of God Almighty that nobody had the right to question and admonished the family members and friends to always remember the deceased in their prayers for God’s mercy on their souls.
