Man killed by suspected ritualists in Adamawa

Residents of Njoboliyo, a village in Yola South Local Government, were shocked in the early hours of Wednesday by the gruesome murder of one Enoch Baidoo.

Enoch met his untimely death in the make shift structure which served as his permanent residence for many years in the village.

Over the years Njoboliyo community has been known for peace.

Residents of the area who were visibly shocked by the gruesome murder of Baidoo confessed that he was a peace loving person who does not harbour acrimony against anybody. They linked his killing to ritualists as they said his two eyes were plucked out by his assailants.

Residents say Enoch Baidoo migrated to Njoboliyo community over 22 years ago from the neighboring Chad Republic in search of greener pastures.

There are no traces of any member of his family as of press time.

Mallam Njobdi Haro, a resident, called for the intensification of security in the area and intensification of prayers for Allah to unravel those behind the condemnable act.

The Police Public Relations Officer SP Mohammed Ibrahim couldn’t be contacted as of the time of filing this report.
