Report has it that a yet-to-be identified man has been electrocuted while allegedly trying to vandalize cables from a transformer mounted in Jattu community in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State.
Sources say, residents of the area woke up on Monday morning, January 29, 2024, to the sight of the deceased lifeless body dangling on two electric poles near a transformer.
It was said that the victim had gelded the cable beneath the transformer, stored it aside and ascended up the electric pole to cut the four long cables that connect light to the transformer to the low tension wire.
Meanwhile, officials of the BEDC had arrived the scene of the incident and evacuated the corpse.
