When music meets the silver screen, sparks are bound to fly. Nigerian music talents Osas Okonyon and Abbey Wonder have turned up the heat with the release of their new single, “All My Love,” a track set to soundtrack the much-anticipated Nollywood film, ‘EVI’.
The announcement was made in a statement signed by publicist Bolaji Ajayi on Saturday in Lagos, unveiling what insiders describe as a heartfelt fusion of rhythm and storytelling.
Blending velvety, soul-stirring vocals with the pulse of contemporary Afro-pop, the collaborative effort doesn’t just hum in the background — it breathes life into the emotional core of the movie. The song navigates themes of devotion, sacrifice and deep emotional bonds, threading melody into the very fabric of the film’s narrative.
The movie, ‘EVI’, is the brainchild of Judith Audu, the accomplished Nigerian producer and actress, whose storytelling prowess has continued to command attention within the Nollywood landscape.
Opening up about the inspiration behind the song, Okonyon said the piece was crafted with emotional precision to mirror the characters’ journeys.
“‘All My Love’ reflects the emotional journey of the characters in the movie.
“It’s about giving wholeheartedly despite challenges, and we wanted listeners to feel that sincerity through the music,” she said.
Abbey Wonder, who doubled as the track’s producer, revealed that the duo deliberately chose depth over dollars, prioritising narrative integrity above commercial temptation.
“The focus was to create something authentic that supports the film’s narrative while standing strong as a song on its own.
“It’s a soundtrack that speaks to real-life experiences of love and commitment,” he said.
According to the artistes, this release is merely the opening act of a wider creative symphony tied to the film, with more musical offerings lined up as the premiere of ‘EVI’ draws near.
