Nigerian lawyer Oladosu Folorunso Ariyo shared a distressing account of how kidnappers, disguised in military camouflage, abducted his wife and their four children from their home in Sagwari Layout Estate in Dutse, Abuja, on January 7, 2024, at around 7:30 pm.
The criminals demanded a ransom of N60 million for their release.
Despite efforts to gather funds, including a generous donation from friends and family amounting to N7 million, the kidnappers refused to accept the partial payment.
Tragically, due to the family’s inability to meet the ransom demand, the kidnappers mercilessly killed Ariyo’s 13-year-old daughter, Michelle, and dumped her lifeless body on Kaduna road.
The kidnappers are now threatening to harm the remaining three children and the lawyer’s wife if the ransom is not paid.
In his desperate plea for help, Ariyo reached out to his colleagues through a WhatsApp group, urging the intervention of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) to assist in the release of his kidnapped family members and to address the ongoing threat to the lives of his loved ones.
