In a significant development in the Darazo/Ganjuwa Federal Constituency of Bauchi State, a total of 4,376 women from two local government areas (LGAs) have received financial support amounting to N50 million.
This support was provided by Mansur Manu Soro, the member representing Darazo/Ganjuwa Federal Constituency, as part of his ongoing efforts to empower and uplift the community.
The money was distributed in two categories: N20,000 and N50,000, with the aim of helping the women either start new businesses or boost existing ones.
Mansur Manu Soro stated that the initiative seeks to uplift women entrepreneurs, foster economic growth, and improve livelihoods within the constituency.
He emphasized that this support will enable women to realize their potential, contribute to the local economy, and create a better future for themselves and their families.
According to Mansur Manu Soro, this event marks a new beginning of opportunity, empowerment, and prosperity for women entrepreneurs across the constituency.
He expressed confidence that this financial assistance will bring positive change and sustainable development to the communities for years to come.
“With this continued guidance and support, we are confident that this grant will serve as a catalyst for positive change and sustainable development in our communities for generations to come”.
Mansur Manu Soro highlighted that his actions align with the development efforts of the state government, led by Governor Sen. Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, in terms of infrastructure and human resources development.
As a Federal Lawmaker, he sees it as his duty to enact laws that promote development in his constituency and improve the livelihoods of the people through initiatives like this one.
He assured that his commitment to development, which includes education, health, and empowerment, will continue throughout his tenure.
“We have done a lot to develop the area since our election and inauguration in the areas of education, health, and empowerment. We will continue to do that until the end of our tenure.”
Nasiru Kabara, a PDP chieftain from the area, praised Mansur Manu Soro for his dedication to advocating for the rights and interests of women in the constituency.
Garba Adamu, the Member of the State House of Assembly representing Ganjuwa East, also commended Mansur Manu Soro for his gesture, urging him to persist in supporting the people.
The Chairman of the PDP in Darazo LGA expressed appreciation for the financial support provided to the women, recognizing its significant impact on empowering them to build their small businesses and achieve self-reliance.
Several beneficiaries, including Aishatu and Karimatu Darazo, expressed gratitude to Mansur Manu Soro for the support, acknowledging its importance in helping them support their families.
