Lagos Govt Sets Up 25 Mega Viewing Centers for Super Eagles Game

Lagos viewing centers Super Eagles

The Lagos State Government has set up a mega viewing center for the Africa Cup of Nations semi-final encounter between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and Bafana Bafana of South Africa on Wednesday.

Lagos Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, explained that Lagos is the sports capital and home to the largest supporters of the Super Eagles, hence the provision of viewing centers. Governor Babajide Olusola-Sanwo-Olu hopes for a Super Eagles triumph given their demonstrated capacity and technical know-how.

There are twenty-five viewing centers established all over Lagos State to enable residents to enjoy the football match with Onikan Stadium, now known as Mobolaji Johnson Arena being designated the Mega Viewing Center.

Nigeria has won the Africa Cup of Nations three times, finished second four times, and secured third place eight times.

Apart from the Mega Viewing Center at Onikan, other centers are located at various places including Agege Stadium, Abesan Sports Centre, Alimosho LGA Secretariat, and several other locations listed in the article.

The kick-off for the match is scheduled for 6 pm.
