Kwankwaso Welcomes Fresh APC Defectors in Kano, Makes Bold Promise to Them

National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has welcomed a fresh wave of defectors from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Madobi Local Government Area of Kano State, describing the development as another boost to the growing strength of the party.

Kwankwaso disclosed this in a statement after receiving the defectors, who formally dumped the APC to join the NDC.

Expressing delight over their decision, the former Kano State governor assured the new members of equal treatment and meaningful participation in the affairs of the party.

“I was elated to receive a group of defectors from Madobi Local Government who have left the APC to join the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC),” Kwankwaso said.

He added that the new members had been warmly received into the party and promised that they would enjoy fair and comfortable positions within its structure.

“I warmly welcomed them into our fold and assured them of fair and comfortable positions within our party,” he stated.

Kwankwaso said the NDC continued to attract support from across the country, attributing the trend to the party’s growing acceptance and commitment to inclusive politics.

According to him, the party remains focused on strengthening its grassroots structures and expanding its membership ahead of future political engagements.

“We continue to grow stronger, free from major distractions,” he added.

The latest defections are expected to further reshape the political landscape in Kano, a state regarded as one of Nigeria’s key electoral strongholds, as political parties intensify efforts to consolidate support ahead of the next electoral cycle.
