Reports indicate that the kidnappers of five pupils and four teachers of Apostolic Faith Group of Schools, Emure, Ekiti state have demanded N100m ransom to secure the release of the nine victims who were taken away on Monday 29th January 2024.
This development was confirmed to newsmen by the principal of the secondary section of the school, Boje Olanireti who revealed the ransom demand made by the abductors on Tuesday 30 January.
Recall that, on Monday, armed gunmen murdered two Ekiti monarchs-the Onimojo of Imojo, Oba Olatunde Olusola, and the Elesun of Esun Ekiti, Oba Babatunde Ogunsakin, while the Alara of Ara Ekiti, Oba Adebayo Fatoba, narrowly escaped.
Meanwhile, few hours after the tragic incident, a school bus was ambushed by the armed gunmen where pupils and staff of Apostolic Faith Group of Schools, Emure, in Ekiti state were abducted.
