Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi has finally bowed to pressure from the media and the Nigeria Football Federation to include Stoke City’s forward Osaze Odemwingie and Villarreal’s striker Ikechukwu Uche in the 25-man squad for the World Cup.
Keshi had refused to include the players in his team citing different reasons. The players are now officially in the Super Eagles 2014 provisional World Cup squad.
Keshi said, “Osaze has been in great form for his team in the English Premier League and I had no choice but to bring him back into the fold. Ike Uche and I also had an hour-long conversation over the phone and we have resolved our issues.”
Nigeria will face Argentina, Iran and Bosnia-Herzegovina in Group F at the competition.
