Akeelah and the Bee star actor Keke Palmer, aged 30, has filed court documents on Thursday, November 9, seeking a restraining order against Darius Jackson, aged 29.

Additionally, she also requested sole custody of their 8-month-old son, Leodis. In the filed documents, Palmer has accused Jackson of multiple instances of abuse throughout their two-year relationship, as confirmed by Us Weekly.

Palmer asserted that she has security footage from a November 5 incident during which Jackson allegedly “trespassed into my home without my knowledge or consent.” She claimed he “threatened” her, “lunging for my neck, striking me, throwing me over the couch, and stealing my phone.”

Keke Palmer submitted her filing after several months of uncertainty surrounding her relationship with Jackson, particularly sparked by his remarks about her attire which revealed her “butt cheek” during an Usher concert. The outfit consisted of a black bodysuit paired with a sheer black polka dot cover-up.

“It’s the outfit tho … you a mom,” Jackson wrote via X (formerly Twitter) in July.

He followed up by writing “We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is,” he added at the time. “This is my family & my representation. I have standards & morals [for] what I believe. I rest my case.”

However, speculations about a possible reconciliation between the two arose on Keke’s 30th birthday in August.

During an Instagram Live session, Keke and Darius appeared together. In the subsequent month, when questioned about her relationship status with the fitness instructor on Today, Keke chose to be neutral, stating,

“I’m not trying to be specific! I’m going to take a page out of my girl Beyoncé’s book: Mind y’all’s business.” At that time, she also shared, “Life is good. I have nothing but gratitude, honestly.”

Keke also requested the court to require Darius to cover his legal fees. However, she agreed to cover the “reasonable expenses of pregnancy and birth.” The legal documents also mentioned that the court has the authority to issue orders for child support and implement an earnings assignment without giving additional notice to either party.

Despite the petition, on Thursday, November 9, Darius  wrote via X (formerly Twitter)  alongside a photo of himself holding the 8-month-old in his arms. “I love you, son. See you soon. ”
