American singer-songwriter Kehlani Ashley Parrish, known as “Kehlani,” has shared that she lost opportunities and deals because of her support for Palestine.
In an interview with ‘Breakfast Club’ released early Tuesday, Kehlani said, “I have experienced a lot of pushback. I’ve experienced a lot of loss. There were many things promised for this album rollout, like magazine features and brand deals, that we’re sad to lose. But at the end of the day, I don’t regret it. I can sleep at night knowing I did the right thing as an artist.”
Kehlani had shown her support for Palestine in an Instagram post on May 29th and featured the Palestinian flag in her ‘Next 2 U’ video released on May 31st. Her support helped raise $500,000 for the people of Gaza, Congo, and Sudan.
