Kano state Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has given a lot of food to the staff who work for him in the government House.Â
This is part of his way to help them during the Ramadan season. His spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, said this in a statement on Sunday.
The food he gave included a big bag of rice, a box of macaroni, ten bags of millet, and 10,000 Naira for each person. He gave these to staff from different levels, starting from GL1 to GL 12.
The governor was happy to do this and thanked God for giving him the chance to help his staff during Ramadan.
He said, “Today is a special day for me and my staff at Government House because I am starting to keep my promise to make things better for civil servants.”
He promised to give more things to his staff if they do their jobs well. He said, “I don’t want a political relationship with you. I just want you to work hard and pray so we can achieve our goals.”
He asked them to use Ramadan to pray and worship more and to ask God to help the state and the country during this difficult time.
The deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, also praised the governor for his kindness. He said this was something new and good for the state.
He asked the staff to do their jobs well, be trustworthy, and pray for Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration.
The staff were happy with the governor’s gesture and said it would help them a lot. They said the governor is friendly and caring and that this help would make their lives easier.
