Kano State government plans to create a security trust fund

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, recognizing the multitude of issues confronting Kano State, such as thuggery and phone snatching, has disclosed his intentions to inaugurate the State Security Trust Fund (SSTF) during the commemoration of this year’s Armed Forces Remembrance Day.

In an effort to address the various challenges, the establishment of the SSTF is set to be a pivotal initiative aimed at enhancing security measures within the state.

This proactive step is indicative of the governor’s commitment to tackling prevalent issues and ensuring the safety and well-being of the citizens of Kano.

The governor emphasized the SSTF’s role in fostering peace in Kano and providing job opportunities for youth to divert them from engaging in social vices.

Governor Abba expressed determination to involve influential Kano personalities in establishing the security trust fund, stressing the government’s commitment to ensuring Kano’s lasting peace and safety.

He underscored the comprehensive efforts the government is willing to make to realize this vision.

In addressing the welfare of families of fallen heroes, Governor Abba assured that special attention would be given to them, noting the inclusion of these families in palliative distributions.

He highlighted the government’s collaboration with security agencies to maintain the peace Kano currently experiences, pledging support for any resources required by the security forces to tackle insecurity challenges in the state.

During the laying of the wreath at the Falling Heroes Center on Zaria road, the Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, and other dignitaries witnessed the event.

The governor restated the government’s dedication to collaborating with security agencies and providing steadfast support to assist them in their endeavors to ensure the safety and protection of the region of Kano.

The governor emphasized a strong commitment to working in conjunction with law enforcement entities, affirming a shared responsibility in safeguarding the well-being and security of the people residing in Kano.
