Kano Mosque Attack: Group Donates Over N10 Million to Victims

The Kano Friends of the Hospital Group has announced the donation of over N10 million to the victims of the recent mosque attack in Kano. 

In a statement released on Friday, the leader of the group, Dr. Bature AbdulAziz, detailed the efforts and support extended to the affected community.

Dr. AbdulAziz expressed gratitude to various prominent figures, including Aliko Dangote, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, for their support and sympathies.

He noted that many individuals and organizations had contributed generously to aid those impacted by the tragic event, which resulted in the deaths of 23 people.

The statement also mentioned the continuous support from numerous local markets such as Sabon Gari, Kwari Textile, Singer, and Yankaba.

Their donations were instrumental in providing relief to the victims. “Their gesture will not be easily forgotten,” said Dr. AbdulAziz.

He highlighted the ongoing treatment of one victim, while another has been discharged. The funds raised were distributed among the victims, with some receiving N50,000 each, others N20,000, and some N10,000.

Dr. AbdulAziz also commended other notable contributors, including Alhaji Abdussamad Isiyaku Rabiu, Alhaji Sabiu Bako, and the Kano State Government, for their concern and support for the victims.

The Friends of the Hospital Group remains committed to supporting the victims and ensuring that the aid received has a meaningful impact on their recovery and well-being.
