Kaduna Judge’s Family Reunites with Rescued Children

—

The husband of the recently kidnapped Kaduna State female judge, Dr. Musa Gimba, has expressed deep gratitude to the security agencies for the safe rescue of three of their children.
In a heartfelt statement personally signed by Dr. Gimba on Wednesday in Abuja, he announced that the rescued children had been reunited with him and his wife by the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, on Tuesday.
“On behalf of my family, I wish to issue this statement to inform the public that yesterday, July 9, my wife and I were reunited with our three surviving boys,” Dr. Gimba stated. “As you may recall, rather tragically, during the ordeal that commenced with their abduction on June 23, our first child was killed by the kidnappers before the mother was released to secure a ransom of N150 million.”
Dr. Gimba went on to praise the exceptional professionalism and bravery of the security forces involved in the rescue operation.
“Thanks to the meticulous planning and coordination, led by the Office of the NSA, our three surviving children are now free,” he said. “While we still earnestly grieve the death of our eldest son, whose life was cut short before his prime, we thank God for the opportunity He has given us to be reunited with our surviving children.”
The family seeks to find some closure to the harrowing experience and wishes that no one else has to endure such an ordeal.
Dr. Gimba extended his heartfelt thanks to everyone who played a role in rescuing their children, including the NSA and his office, Chief of Defence Staff Gen. Christopher Musa, the Kaduna State Government, and the security forces for their relentless efforts.
In addition to the government and security personnel, Dr. Gimba also expressed gratitude to professional bodies, NGOs, religious organizations, the press, and the social media community for their support and solidarity during the family’s difficult time.
“May God protect us all from the whims of evil and wicked people,” Dr. Gimba concluded. “May He also reward everyone who showered us with their selfless sacrifices and show of love in this very difficult situation.”
