The District Head of Kujama, in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Mr Steven Ibrahim has been abducted. Confirming the incident to the media, a local JTF senior member revealed that the monarch was kidnapped among two other persons at about 7pm on Sunday 12th of November, 2023.
Reports say the victims were walking out of a Reservation Centre located behind Bethel Baptist School along Kaduna- Kujama highway when two motorcyclists whisked away with them at gunpoint. Eye witnesses and residents of Ungwar Ayaba, disclosed that the suspected bandits stormed the area late evening.
In other news, two officers of the Mobile Police Force have sustained various degrees of injuries during gun battles with suspected bandits in Kakangi Community in Birnin Gwari Area Kaduna State. The incident which happened on Monday, was as a result of attempts by the bandit to seize the Armoured Personnel Carrier vehicle of the security forces safeguarding the area. For the past few years, Kaduna State has been under incessant attacks by armed bandits.
