The Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Yola, Adamawa State, has reaffirmed Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri as the rightful governor of the state.
The tribunal has upheld the election results, while also dismissing the petition filed by Aishatu Dahiru Binani, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
 Binani had contested the outcome of the March 18 election and the subsequent declaration of Fintiri as the winner on April 18, which followed the April 16 supplementary election.
 A previous petition of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) was also dismissed by the tribunal on October 2.
