JUST IN: Tinubu Appoints Adeyemi Olumode as New Fire Service Chief

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Adeyemi Olumode as the new Controller-General of the Federal Fire Service (FFS).

The announcement was made Wednesday by Maj.-Gen. Abdulmalik Jubril (Rtd), Secretary of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), following the upcoming retirement of current FFS boss, Abdulganiyu Jaji, who turns 60 on August 13.

Olumode, a Deputy Controller-General and head of Human Resources at FFS headquarters, was praised for his experience and qualifications, having completed all required in-service and command courses.

A former FCT Fire Service officer, he is also a fellow of several professional bodies, including ANAN, ICAN, and the Chartered Institute of Treasury Management.
