Following the killing of the former Director of Finance and Administration to Governor Dapo Abiodun’s office, Mr Taiwo Oyekanmi, the Ogun State Government has announced N50m reward for anybody with useful information that can lead to the arrest of the killers.
The state government disclosed this on Friday 8 December 2023;
“Ogun State Government has announced a reward of N50m for anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the killers of the state’s Director of Finance and Administration, Mr. Taiwo Oyekanmi, on 30th November, 2023 in Abeokuta. Information provided would be treated with utmost confidentiality.”.
The former Finance Director aged, 51 was last Wednesday, November 29 2023 shot dead by gunmen at the Kuto Flyover Bridge, Abeokuta Ogun State.
Two others, alongside the late Oyekanmi, were waylaid by the armed assailants upon returning to the Governor’s Office with cash reported to have been withdrawn from two major commercial banks in Abeokuta. The gunmen whisked away with a large sum of money after committing the crime.
Promising not to spare any effort in fishing out the killers and ensuring that they face the full wrath of the law, Governor Dapo Abiodun, said that the killing of the senior civil servant left his cabinet devastated and traumatized.
