JUST IN: Hoodlums Set Residence Of Former Benue Gov Ablaze 

According to reports, hoodlums have burnt down the residence of a former Governor of Benúe State, Late Aper Aku, in Gboko area of the state.

It was gathered that the incident occurred on Monday 8 April after the occupants were said to have been safely evacuated from the building.

Speaking to newsmen in Makurdi, the Benue state capital, daughter of the late governor, Deborah Aku, noted that the Police rescued six of them early enough before the hoodlums set the house on fire.

She revealed that the trouble started in March after a man armed with cutlass came to the house threatening to deal with the occupants if his goat ever dies again.

It was learnt that the man had claimed that his goat died after drinking water from the former governor’s residence.
